Gregory Davis, 65, of Rockland, Massachusetts, passed away on August 21, 2026, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Greg grew up in Norwell, Massachusetts, and remained rooted to the South Shore throughout his life. He worked for Verizon in Boston for more than 25 years before his retirement.

Greg’s Christian faith was central to his life and to the person he was. He most recently worshipped at New Hope Chapel in Norwell, and he lived his faith through his willingness to care for and help others. He gave generously of his time to people who needed him, quietly putting his beliefs into practice through compassion, kindness, and service to others.

Greg had a lifelong appreciation for classic cars, a passion that brought him many lasting friendships. For the past 40 years, he was the caretaker of his cherished 1965 Oldsmobile 442 convertible. He also loved Disney, roller coasters, and the beaches of the South Shore, which were among the things he treasured most about the place he called home.

Greg was deeply connected to his family and was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews. He remained an important part of their lives through the years, and they will remember his personality, his stories, the things he loved, and the many memories accumulated over a lifetime together.

Greg was predeceased by his parents, John and Ola Davis of Norwell, Massachusetts; his brother, Dana Davis; and his sisters, Barbara Blaisdell and Debra Lovell. He is survived by eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews who live in Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.

Final arrangements have not yet been made and will be announced at a later date.

Greg will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the example he set — one of faith, kindness, generosity, and care for others — an example that gave those who knew him something to aspire to.
