Harold E. Miller, 77, of Lempster, died at his home on January 18, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Miller was born on October 6, 1925 in Elburg, Vermont son of the late Robert and Annie (Partlow) Miller. He was a U S Army Veteran who served during World War II. He was part of the Military Police Command Unit 1114. In the 1950's he was a logger, clearing in the north country for the electric company. He was a local police office in Lempster for several years and a town road agent. He owned his own construction company specializing in wells, septic and landscaping. Mr. Miller was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Pittsburg, NH. Family members include; one son, Wayne Miller of Manchester; three daughters, Deborah Adams of Langdon, NH, Doreen Mertens-Smith of Lempster and Elaine Miller of Lempster; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was married to Jennie Gardner Miller for 51 years prior to her death in February of 1997. He was also predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
