Born on March 18, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, Harriet was the daughter of the late Fred Henley and Harriet (Blake) Henley. She was educated at the Academy of the Sacred Heart and the University of Detroit, and went on to a dedicated career in social work, culminating in her role as Director of Catholic Social Services in mid-Michigan.

She was a devoted grandmother to Jack and Henley Gorham, and Matthew, John, and Mary Elizabeth Provost, each of whom she treasured deeply.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Johnson; her parents; and her brother, Rev. Fred Henley, S.J.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers of the Hospice Visiting Nurses Association of Southern New Hampshire for their compassionate care and support.
The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to Yuriko Glass whose kindness, dedication, and unwavering compassion brought comfort and dignity to our mother in her final years. Her care meant more to our family than words can express.
