Harry was born in Pitman, New Jersey to Kathryn (Markley) and Harry F. Lang. He attended Montclair State College. After retirement from Mobil, Harry started a second career and worked in Human Resources and Admissions for the Hitchcock Clinic and Mary Hitchcock Hospital.

Harry was an avid reader of mysteries and took pleasure in completing crossword puzzles. In his younger years he enjoyed travelling and fondly spoke of a trip to Italy. He and Joyce travelled a number of times to the western US and New England before their move in 1990.  Harry was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and was active in the Pitman Lodge for many years.

Harry is remembered for his kindness, optimism, easy-going personality, and unconditional love for his family.
