On October 25, Harry E. Lang, 86, of Canaan, NH passed away. He is survived by his wife Joyce and his stepchildren (who he always referred to as his children) Vicky Adams and husband Bob of Wells River, VT, Tony Perez of Palmer, Ak, Chris Perez and fiancé Tonjia Glasscock of Canaan, NH; grandchildren Rick Perez, Nick Perez, Brielle Perez and Noah Liss; 3 great grandchildren; and sisters Janis Tomlinson and husband Ron of Kentucky, and Lois Wiggins of New Jersey.
Harry was born in Pitman, New Jersey to Kathryn (Markley) and Harry F. Lang. He attended Montclair State College. In his first career, he was an electrician at Mobil Research and Development in Paulsboro, NJ. Harry and Joyce married in 1980 and in 1990 moved into a log home in New Hampshire – a dream they shared. After retirement from Mobil, Harry started a second career and worked in Human Resources and Admissions for the Hitchcock Clinic and Mary Hitchcock Hospital.
Harry was an avid reader of mysteries and took pleasure in completing crossword puzzles. In his younger years he enjoyed travelling and fondly spoke of a trip to Italy. He and Joyce travelled a number of times to the western US and New England before their move in 1990. Harry was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason and was active in the Pitman Lodge for many years.
Harry is remembered for his kindness, optimism, easy-going personality, and unconditional love for his family.
