Heidemarie Martin

Heidemarie Martin, 74, of Manchester, NH died on January 12th, 2024, after an extended period of declining health.

Born in Ansbach, Germany on October 12, 1949, she was the daughter and oldest child of the late Rudolph and Betty Martin (Geitz), of Wurzburg Germany.  She and her brother spent their early childhood years playing in the rubble of their beloved Wurzburg, largely destroyed by allied bombing in WWII.

After meeting her only (former) husband in Germany, Frederick C Crombie, who was a soldier serving in the U. S. Army, they married in 1968 and spent 18 years together.  They traveled to wherever the Army would take them, and during that time, and had two boys.

Heidemarie stood in line to become a US Citizen, which she proudly received in Arizona.

Professionally, Heidemarie spent most of her working profession in retail.  She was a selfless person, who cared little about money and material possessions, neither were important to her.  Winning two battles with breast cancer, and the countless challenges she faced in life, she was an extraordinarily strong woman who never gave up; she was a fighter.

Her life revolved around the unwavering love she had for her two boys, making sure they were okay – that is all that ever mattered to her.

Heidemarie is survived by her former husband Frederick C Crombie, her eldest son Michael A. Crombie and his wife Teresa M. Crombie, and their son Jackson, and Terea’s boys Bradley and Brayden, of Lyndeborough, her younger son Mark A. Crombie and his son Maxen, also of Lyndeborough, NH; her brother Dr. Erich Martin and his wife Michaela, of Bavaria Germany, and their two sons, her nephews, Dr. Fabian Martin and his partner Anna Pankratova, and their newborn son Julius, of Bavaria Germany, and Daniel Martin and his partner Theresa, also of Bavaria, Germany.

She was blessed to be the Oma of her treasured grandchildren, Jackson, and Max, both of whom made her light up when she saw or spoke to them.  She did not get to meet the third grandchild on the way, but like she did for her boys, we know Oma will be there, unseen, and unheard, but watching and guiding all the grandchildren.

Heidemarie will be missed dearly by her friends and family.  In lieu of  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Families in Transition https://support.fitnh.org/give/523592/#!/donation/checkout

The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, EMTs, and Home Health Aides that supported Heidimarie until her passing, we are forever grateful.

Calling hours will not be held.  Her burial wishes will be carried out in a private family ceremony.
