Helen Louise (Weston) Draper, 94, passed away on January 6, 2025 at Genesis Keene Center in Keene NH. She was born on February 6, 1930 in Monadnock Hospital in Peterborough NH the daughter of William and Esther (Wright) Weston.
She attended Hancock High School, graduating in 1947. She married Robert R Draper May 9, 1948 divorced in 1981. Helen worked at the Milford Town Clerks Office as Assistant to the Town Clerk for 30 years. Helen had three sons: Chris N Draper of Hellertown PA, Curt E Draper of Cookson OK and Dean C Draper of Fitzwilliam NH and one daughter: Dyana L Draper of Springfield VT. She was the second child of nine children, two boys and seven girls.
Helen was a member to the First Congregational Church of Milford, she served as Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with her children. She was very active in the Custos Morum Rebekah Lodge #23 in Milford. She transferred to Woodbury Rebekah Lodge #61 of Claremont then became a member of Harmony Rebekah Lodge #16 of Keene when the lodges consolidated. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, making clothes, quilts, pillows, doll clothes, etc.
In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her two brothers William Weston and Forest Weston, four sisters Sarah Hutchins, Marion Fraser, Ruth Higgins Calkins, Mary Plumpton.
Survived by two sisters: Dorothy "Dottie" Murdough of Maryland, Katherine "Kitty" Moore of Florida. Sons Chris Draper and wife Carol of Hellertown PA, Curt Draper and wife Nancy of Cookson OK, Dean Draper and wife Elaine of Fitzwilliam NH, daughter Dyana Draper and friend Kevin Jones of Springfield VT, Grandchildren Allison Borges and her husband Rich of Winchendon MA, Russell Draper of Greensboro NC, Jeremy Draper and his wife Kelly of Atlanta GA, Nolan Draper of Norman OK. Great grandchildren Julia Draper and Nora Draper of Atlanta GA, Lucy Borges, Marisol Borges of Winchendon MA and Avery Draper Greensboro NC. She also has step grandchildren David Hammett and his wife Judy their children Ashley, Devin and Eve of Montclair NJ, Wendy Marvil and her husband Phil their children Hannah, Sarah of Wilmington DE and scores of nieces and nephews.
Helen loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 in Milford NH at the Odd Fellows Hall in the center of town near the Oval at 11:00am.
