Henry C. Barney

Henry C. Barney, 88 died March 16, 2021, with family by his side all day, at Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin NH. He was born on April 3, 1932 in Woodstock, VT. Henry was the son of Guy Barney/Leslie Braley and Elizabeth Braley. He was the husband of Marlene Barney (1933-1966) and Patricia Barney (1942-2013). He attended Penacook High School and worked at the Concord Police Department, Loudon dog track, Merrimack County Nursing Home, and the Penacook Tannery. Henry loved hunting, fishing, card games, puzzles, and spending time with his pets along with his family and friends. Henry loved to laugh, and his laugh was infectious to everyone around him. Family and friends will tell you he taught them how to hunt and fish and how he treated everyone as if they were his children and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by Marlene Barney, Patricia Barney, and Patty Leclaire.
Henry is survived by his children, Bonnie Ladd, Gary Barney, Penny Leclerc, Scott Barney, and Steven Barney. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his good friends; Joe and Sheila Dickerson who were there for him whenever he needed them.
Henry was a very giving and loving man and will certainly be missed.
Family and friends are invited to an intimate Graveside Service at Woodlawn Cemetery located at 130 Village St. in Concord NH on April 10, 2021 at 11am.
