Henry James Fabian, 81, passed away peacefully at Community Hospice House in Merrimack and returned home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2024. He was the youngest of two sons, born October 5, 1942, in Rutland, VT to Hattie and Edward Fabian.
After High School, he graduated from Franklin Technical Institute and married his High School sweetheart in 1964 and they moved to NH where they started their family. While working, he attended Northeastern University in the evenings and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology. He worked for MITRE Corporation, and was given an assignment in Germany where they lived until 1970, returning to settle in Nashua, NH. Later, he started is own remodeling business, where he had numerous customers who appreciated his craftsmanship and attention to detail. No matter how difficult a job, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He was a deeply spiritual man, an avid reader, enjoyed tinkering with many projects, and playing the accordion for many family holidays and events. He also enjoyed cruise ship vacations and playing the slots at various casinos with his wife.
Henry leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Sophie Fabian; a son Mark Fabian of New Ipswich; a daughter Kathleen Roundy of Nashua and a grandson Jacob Roundy of Nashua. He is predeceased by a son Daniel Fabian, and a brother Edward Fabian.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Henry touched are invited to the gathering space at the Parish of the Resurrection Church, 449 Broad Street in Nashua on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00am-10:45am with a Mass of Christian Burial directly following at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Henry’s name to the Marguerite d’Youville fund at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua.
