Henry George True

Henry George True of Manchester, NH passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on August 23, 2023.

The son of the late Franklin and Evelyn (Chauncey) True. Henry was born in Salisbury, MA on October 20, 1938. Growing up he loved tending to his family’s farm, playing in his local bowling league, fishing with family and he was a devoted sports fan. He cherished the memories of his hunting and snowmobiling trips with his brothers and friends. Henry enjoyed looking through old photos while reminiscing and retelling stories of his past adventures. He was a proud man that loved his family.

In 1961, Henry was drafted to the Army where he proudly served his country for 6 years. He worked as a furniture maker for over 40 years at Amesbury Chair where he retired in 2003. After retirement Henry enjoyed traveling, painting, playing cribbage, and spending time with his family.

Henry was predeceased by his wife of 27 years, Pamela (Fowler) True.

In addition to his parents and wife, Henry was predeceased by his siblings Evelyn Fiske, Franklin True, Jr., Sheila Turner, William True, Sr., and Willard True.

Henry is survived by his brother Robert (Leslie) True, Sr. of Salisbury, MA, and sister Tammy (Donald) Greenwood of Exeter, NH. His children William (Susan) True, Jr. of Salisbury, MA, Laura (Todd) Miranne of Biloxi, MS, Steven (Joanne) True of Effingham, NH, William (Gina) Brown of Seymour, TN, Tina (Stephen) Hussey of Rochester, NH, Brenda Hussey (Eric) of Attleboro, MA, Wendy Cecil of Dover, NH and Vicki (Lucas) Provencher of Manchester, NH. Along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Hope Community Church 11 Hale Street Newburyport, MA on October 7, 2023, at 11am. Burial will be private.
