It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Herb Lucas, 79, on January 12, 2021 at his family home in Bedford, NH. He was born on September 1, 1941 in Stafford Springs, CT, to the son of Andrew and Anne Lucas. Herb was married to Jackie Lucas on April 14, 1973.
Herb served four years in the Air Force and worked in print production but will certainly be remembered for the light and laughter he brought to so many people's lives. His humor, stories, and over-the-top personality will long be remembered and continue to spread joy. Herb was an exceptional artist of nature-based oil paintings. His work has been published and sold around the world and fills so many homes with natural elegance.
Herb will be lovingly remembered by wife, Jackie Lucas; daughter, Kate Simons; son-in-law Patrick Simons; and grandsons, Henry, and Griffin Simons.
A memorial service will be held at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH in the spring. Date to be determined. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Children's House at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) Hospital. https://dhmcalumdev.hitchcock.org/CHaD
