Herbert N. Brown, Jr., 79, of Boscawen, died peacefully at Merrimack County Nursing Home on April 27, 2020.
Born January 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Herbert N. Brown and Mary (Makepeace) Brown. Herbert often went by the nickname "Sonny".
Herbert grew up in Hampstead, NH and lived the majority of his life in Manchester, NH. Herbert was a man of many trades. Throughout his life he worked as a casket maker, carpenter, and was a long time driver for Merchants Automotive in Hooksett NH, where he retired.
Herbert loved fishing, wood working, the outdoors and cooking, but above all he loved spending time with family. To his children and grandchildren, he was known for some rather interesting creations in the kitchen. He was a very loving and humble man and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He will be most remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Lorna J. (Young) Brown; three children, Bruce Goupil of Manchester, NH; Debbie Kobzik and fiance' Michael Miller of Concord, NH and Nathan Brown and wife Shauna of Deerfield, NH; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Sean, Ashley, Kylie, Kaden, Madison, and Hannah; 4 great grandchildren Kevin Kendra, Jaxson, and Levi.
He was predeceased by his son Ricky L. Brown, both parents; and both sisters Helen Breton of Haverhill, MA and Alice Price of Wrightsville, GA.
