Herbert R. Fisher, Jr., formerly of Whitefield, New Hampshire, died of heart failure on Wednesday, May 10, 2000. Mr. Fisher was born on June 19, 1917 in Ansonia, Connecticut, son of Herbert Robson Fisher and Louise Truesdell Fisher. He graduated from Manchester Central High School and served in the United States Army. Mr. Fisher received his degree in architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and worked for the firm of Clinch, Crimp, Brown, & Fisher for over twenty years, designing schools throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. After retiring in 1979, he became a design consultant for Knight, Bagge, & Anderson. Mr. Fisher and his wife, Helen Crimp Fisher, spent summers in New Hampshire and winters in Sarasota, Florida. They traveled extensively throughout the United Kingdom. Mr. Fisher was an avid lawn bowler, playing in tournaments across the country. He was a member of the Spalding Inn Lawn Bowling Club and the Sarasota Lawn Bowling Club. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Gilmore of Manchester; children Karen Rodgers, Diedri Jackson, Wendy Donom, Deborah Day, Michael Cozort, and Rebecca Clamp.
