Hildegard N. (Osterlund) Heins, 87, of 72 Hutchins St., Concord, NH died November 16, 2000 at Concord Hospital. She was born in Cambridge MA, the daughter of the late Hilbert and Clara (Norman) Oserlund. She graduated from Arlington High School, Class of 1931 and Framingham State College, Class of 1936. She was an intern at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Dietary Department for several years and subsequently worked at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, MA as the Chief Dietitian for five years. For twenty five years, she worked as the Public Health Nutritionist for the Visiting Nurses Association. Hildegard also volunteered extensively for VNA Hospice and was a past member and officer of the American Dietetic Association. She was also an active and past president of the Women's Guild of the First Congregational Church of Concord and was a 4H Leader in West Concord. She was the widow of Felix A. Heins, a teacher at Rundlett Jr. High School, who passed away in 1979. Family members include her daughter, Gretchen L. Heins of Seattle, WA; two sons, Dr. Allan P. Heins of Salt Lake City, UT and Donald A. Heins of Broomfield, CO and her close nephew, Kenneth Estey of Concord, MA; four grandchildren, and several nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Linea Hamm and Edith Estey. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 177 North Main Street in Concord on Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at 7 o'clock in the evening followed by a reception.
