Hugh Taylor passed away peacefully Thursday morning, 5/7/26, at his home in Goffstown, NH surrounded by family.

Born in Newark, NJ, Hugh grew up in the nearby town of Garwood, the only child of Harold and Violet Taylor. After high school, Hugh attended Ricker College in Houlton, ME, where he met his beloved bride, Beverly. Both career school teachers in Methuen, MA, Hugh and Bev were married in 1970. They settled in Derry, NH, where they raised their daughter Molly and son Ian. After retirement, Hugh and Bev moved to Downeast Maine, where they enjoyed quiet relaxation, hosting friends and loved ones, coastal scenery, and the freshest seafood. Later, they would return to NH to live closer to family.

Hugh is survived by his wife, Beverly Taylor, daughter Molly Wyatt, son Ian Taylor, his partner Joyce Donnell, and granddaughter Madison Taylor. A lifelong lover of art, animals, and literature, Hugh was a free thinker, and was never afraid to speak his mind. The family plans to hold a celebration of Hugh’s life around the time of his birthday in July. In his memory, donations to the American Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated.
