Huguette “Kim” (Rioux) Kinsella joined Jesus her Savior on Aug. 14, 2024, after a valiant battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She passed peacefully, surrounded by family. In the days before, she said, “I lived a full life; I’m grateful I got to do nearly everything I ever wanted to do!”
A decades-long resident of Arizona, Kim returned to her roots in NH in the summer of 2023 and was diagnosed with AML that December. Her NH family is blessed and grateful to have had her home for one more Christmas, one more birthday (her 80th), one more Mother’s Day, and one more July 4th gathering… She lived the life she wanted and fought to the very end with grace and dignity, as was her way.
Kim, originally from Trois Pistoles, Quebec, Canada, and a proud American citizen since Sept. 9, 1959, graduated from Nashua High School in 1962, and went on to Nashua Business School to become a bookkeeper. She fiercely loved her family (fur kids included) and friends. She also enjoyed cross-country road trips, being perpetually on the move, eating out with loved ones, and playing golf (surprising us all, she was a natural and super proud of her hole-in-one). Always dressed to the nines in full makeup with perfect fingernails (that she designed and painted herself), Kim was just as stunningly beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside.
Kim was proud to celebrate her 48-year friendship with Bill W. on June 23rd. She was a bright light of hope to hundreds (or more) for nearly five decades. She will be missed not only by her friends and family but also by her extended family that she met through Bill. God, grant us the serenity…
Kim was a daughter to Adrien and Beatrice (D’Amours) Rioux of Nashua, NH (deceased), a wife to her first husband, Dustin Smith, and a wife to her second husband Ray Kinsella (deceased). She is survived by her husband, Bill Kennedy; two daughters, Jennifer Smith and Christine Haight; two grandchildren, Ben and Ana Haight; her sister, Carol Harwood; her nephews, Bruce and Kevin Harwood; her grand nephews, Adrien and Logan Harwood; her sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Ray Poulliout; and her two cats, Muffin and Bella.
To respect Kim’s wishes, in place of formal services, we ask that you consider celebrating her life by donating to reputable organizations that focus on child welfare, animal welfare, cancer/leukemia research. God bless you.
