Irene G. (Goudreau) Boisvert 89 of Bedford, NH passed away peacefully on February 11th, 2021 at Bedford Falls Assisted Living Facility. She was born on June 26th, 1931 in Manchester, NH and was the daughter of Rosaire and Beatrice (Duval) Goudreau.
She spent many of her childhood years on the family farm, Goudreau's Poultry Farm, in Grasmere (now considered Pinardville) and attended schools in Manchester. As a teenager she loved roller skating with her friends at the Pine Island roller skating rink, was a lifelong fan of jigsaw puzzles and was passionate about playing her tile game with her sisters-in-law in her later years.
In her early teens she met the love of her life, her future husband of nearly 69 years, Maurice. She lived her adult years raising a family in Pinardville and Manchester, and worked miscellaneous jobs in the Manchester mills, and also as a bookkeeper for a local beverage company. In 1983, she opened, owned and operated Iris Boutique on Elm Street. She and her husband enjoyed travelling to many places in their free time.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Boisvert of Bedford; son, Denis Boisvert and his wife Janet of Litchfield; four grandchildren: Tracy Colbroth, Shawn Boisvert, Bryan Rouleau and Jason Rouleau; and seven great-grandchildren: Lauren, Evan, Kaylee, Trevor, Jaxon, Lexie and Chloe.
She is pre-deceased by her sister Theresa Goudreau, and her brothers Paul and Maurice Goudreau, and her daughter and son-in-law Arleen and Steve Rouleau.
A memorial service will be scheduled for the spring/summer of 2021 when it is safe to gather.
