Irene Lucille Arsenault Davidson, 79, died at home, Sunday, March 2, 2025 surrounded by family.
Irene was born on July 7, 1945 in Nashua, NH, the daughter of James and Lucille Arsenault. She attended Nashua High School and Rivier College. As a single mom, Irene worked hard, operating her own cleaning business for 20 years. Upon getting her certificate from Clayton College of Nutrition, she worked as a nutrition consultant. She also did social work for DHSS.
Irene cared deeply about health and nutrition. As a lifelong student, and ardent reader, she would research, document, and share her knowledge freely. Her advice and council helped many friends, family and associates over the years. She was an advocate and a free thinker. She never accepted “mass media dogma” and did her own research. She was also a spiritual seeker; deeply connected to nature and spirituality. Irene walked her own path, defended her beliefs, and helped others when she could. She will be missed.
Survived by her son Matthew Davidson, daughter-in-law Lisa Davidson, daughter Nicolle Casey, son-in-law Steven Casey, brother James Arsenault and Sister-in-law Denise Arsenault. As well as her grandchildren, Marshal Davidson, Mark Davidson, Sebastian Casey and Sydney Casey, and her great grandchild Murphy Davidson.
SERVICES: A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the First Unitarian Universalists Church, 12 Elm St, Exeter NH, with a reception to follow in the church hall, immediately after.
