Irene Lamarche
Irene (Houle) Lamarche, 82, a longtime resident of New Boston and Goffstown, passed away on February 22, 2014 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 20, 1932, Irene was the daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Labelle) Houle. Raised and educated in Manchester, Irene met the love of her life, Normand Lamarche, and settled down to raise a family.
A dedicated wife and mother, Irene's family was paramount in her life. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Irene had a very outgoing personality, touching the lives of many around her. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and going to the beach. She loved to dance and laugh. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Irene is survived by her three children, Elaine (Annie) Lamarche Sorrentino and her husband, Jim, of New Boston, Monica King and her husband, Tim, of Gilmanton, and Normand Lamarche, Jr., of South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Alanna Loveday-Dryden, Landon Loveday, Anson Lamarche Loveday, Jennifer Valade-Zabel, Katherine Magoon, Kimberley Turcotte, Julie Kopacz, Ashley Griggs, Matt and Jake King; four great grandchildren, Tori, Gabbi, Aubrie, and Avery. In addition to her parents, Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Normand H. Lamarche, Sr., with whom she shared nearly 45 years of marriage, her siblings, Lucille Lemire, Doris Jamison, and Gerry, Lucien, Donald, and Roger Houle.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Thursday, February 27, 2014, 4:00 to 5:00PM. Followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00PM. Reception to follow at 629 Bedford Rd., New Boston. Spring burial to be announced. Friends and relatives invited. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Irene's memory to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, 400 Mast Rd., Goffstown, NH 03045.
