Irene T. McCallion

Irene Teresa (Coen) McCallion, of Concord, passed away January 10th, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her family and close friends. Irene was born in Franklin, NH December 29th, 1955 to Thomas and Evelina Coen.

Anyone who knew Irene, knew her infectious laugh. She was always the life of any event, and her sense of humor was unparalleled. She was brutally honest, and her opinion was never a mystery. Her faith in God, generosity, strength, and courage will be remembered by all who were blessed to call her family, or friend.

A life-long caregiver, Irene was compassionate, generous, and selfless. Her home was always filled with the laugher of her own children, and many others. Her magnanimous heart extended not only to her family, but to those her family cared about, making many friends family. Her career as an LNA and her work as a personal care nurse, touched the lives of countless individuals and families.

Irene is preceded in death by her daughter, Shawna Chellis, and her husband, James McCallion. She is survived by her daughters, Misty Griffin and Angella Mullins, and their families; as well as her brothers, Tim and Ken Coen, and her sister, Annette Eakin, and their families.

Irene's family will celebrate her life on January 25th, 2019, at 10:00am at Christ the King Parish, 72 S Main Street in Concord. Family and friends are invited to begin gathering at 9:30am.
