CANTERBURY - Irene Inge "Inky" Rydberg, 81, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, after a short period of failing health. She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Anna (Laursen) and Jens Nielsen. She was an air raid warden during World War II and enjoyed careers in banking, retail and real estate. She volunteered at Concord Hospital for 15 years. Her sense of humor was what carried her through life. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Theodore Rydberg of Canterbury; her sister, Alice Knapp of Fountain, Colo.; her children Susan Rydberg of Concord, Daniel Rydberg of Dallas, Ted and his wife, Kimberly Rydberg, of Concord, Lisa Rydberg-Wood and her husband, David, of Anthem, Ariz., and Kim Germino of Concord; grandchildren Sara Rydberg, Trevor and Morgan Rydberg and Samanntha and Emma Wood; and nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
