Irene A. Sutton

Irene Alice (Blouin) Sutton, 62 passed away August 26, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston MA following a lengthy battle with cancer. Irene was born on August 16, 1960 in Manchester NH. She was born and raised in Allenstown NH, daughter of the late Roger and Alice Blouin. Irene leaves her sister Mary Jane and was predeceased by her youngest sister Susan, all three girls were extremely close and made countless memories with their families throughout the years. Irene married her soulmate Christopher Sutton on September 29, 1990 in Nashua NH. Together they had two children Malcolm and Marquis who were the light of their lives. Irene graduated from Pembroke Academy and pursued various careers in the finance industry working for local banks.

In 1996, Irene courageously started her battle with cancer. She fought with determination, dignity, strength, and grace despite the overwhelming odds. The endless support and positive encouragement of her family and friends provided her with the energy to overpower this disease for decades allowing invaluable time with family and friends.

Irene was a fun-loving, strong woman who wore her passion and commitment for her family proudly. She had a great sense of humor, the biggest heart and was happiest when she was surrounded by family. Chris, Malcolm, and Marquis were her world and the proudest accomplishments in her life. If you were ever looking for Irene, you could always find her supporting her sons and countless other teammates at the football field, lacrosse field or on the wrestling mats. She was a devoted team mom for both of her son’s lacrosse teams from elementary school to college.

Survived by her husband of 32 years Christopher, sons Malcolm, his wife Brittney, and Marquis along with his partner Amiee. Irene also leaves behind her sister Mary Jane Ricker, brother-in-law Russ Ricker. She was the proud aunt of Brigitte, Brandon, Andrew, Patrick, Samantha, Charnise, Jareem, Martel, Nashia and Michael as well as numerous other family members and friends. Irene will be deeply missed by all.

A memorial service will be, Saturday September 17, 2022 gathering at 12pm and service start at 1:00pm at the Cremation Society of NH in Manchester. Following the memorial, a celebration in honor of Irene’s life will be held at Allenstown Country Diner in Allenstown NH at 4PM. Family and friends are invited to attend.
