Iris (Ballnus) McLoughlin

Iris P. (Ballnus) McLoughlin 80, Beloved Mother and Wife, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on May 5th, 2016. Iris was born on May 28th, 1935 in Manhattan, New York to Carl and Bertha (Roessling) Ballnus.

Iris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Traveling as much as she could. Taking drives by the beach, going out to lunch and shopping with her best friend Joyce Phoenix. Laughing (and sometimes shaking her head) at her husband Richards sense of humor. And always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Iris retired from Liberty Mutual and was a lifelong active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Iris is survived by her husband of 60 years Richard J. McLoughlin; son Scott J. McLoughlin and his wife Donna of Rochester NH; daughter Robin I McLoughlin of Phoenix, AZ; son Tracy R. McLoughlin and his wife Desiree of Portsmouth, NH. Sister Violet Lavecchia and her husband Charlie of Englewood Florida. Grandchildren; Paige Dubay, Joshua Dubay, Katrina McLoughlin, and Evan McLoughlin also her great grandchild, Rylan McLoughlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church at: 1035 Lafayette Rd, Portsmouth, NH 03801.

Services will be held on Friday, May 13th, 2016 at Christ Episcopal Church at 6:00PM, following with a potluck gathering.
