Irma May Wheeler

Irma May (Bailey) Wheeler, passed away April 20th, 2002 in her home. She was a loving and devoted wife to Robert D. Wheeler for 56 years. Born December 3rd, 1925, the daughter of Clyde and Ruth (King) Bailey of Newark, VT. She was raised and attended schools in Montpelier, VT. Irma was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and worked as a Dietary Technician at Memorial Hospital in Nashua for many years and the Hoodkroft Retirement Home. Irma will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, Robert D. Wheeler of Litchfield, her son, James R. Wheeler of Lexington, Kentucky, her grandchildren, Kelly Adair of Bedford, NH, and Jeff Sweeney of Weare, NH. Irma is also survived by two brothers Welden Bailey of Elkland, PA and Clyde Bailey of Westfield, PA. Irma loved and took great pride her family and home life. She loved to socialize and meet new people. Irma kept in touch with many friends and family members over the years and treasured her visits and conversations with them. She not only enjoyed the time spent with her husband, Robert and their dog, Mike, but immensely enjoyed being with her grandchildren Kelly and Jeff. The special times, laughs and secrets they all shared together will be treasured by them forever. Nana was a very special part of all of our lives and she will always be in our hearts and minds because of the unconditional love she gave. ''You've gone on a journey which we cannot accompany you, but our Lord has promised that as our turns do come, when we get to that sacred horizon you will be there to greet us with that smile and laugh we shall all treasure until that time comes!'' A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, 6pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Nashua, NH.
