James Arnold Holland, 75, of Ossipee, died on June 8, 2002 at Mountain View Nursing Home after a long battle with lung cancer. Mr. Holland was born on June 24, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late James and Pearl (Swanson) Holland. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served during World War II. After being honorably discharged from the military he began working as a photographer for the Chrysler Corp. in Detroit where he took pictures of the vehicles. After working for Chrysler he became the Southwest sales manager for Jacobs Chucks in Hartford, CT and Dallas, Texas. Mr. Holland then began working as an independent manufacturers representative for his own company, Holland Associates, in Dallas and finally retired in the mid 1980's. Upon retirement, he and his family moved to Ossipee, NH. Family members include; his wife of 46 years, Thelma (Carlson) Holland; one son, James A. Holland of Ossipee; a sister, Marion Fisher of Michigan; and several nieces. There will be a memorial service on Friday, June 14th at 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church in Wakefield. Burial will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
