James E Holmes passed away on June 2, 2020 in Webster, NH after a battle with cancer. He was 61.
Jim was raised and attended school in Hudson NH. He later graduated from Rivier University, Nashua, NH as an RN and spent his career life in the mental health field. All whom he came in contact with benefitted from his welcoming positive attitude, total acceptance and unending patience.
Jim was an adventurer who trail-biked, snowboarded, and hiked the Presidential Range, with a special affinity for Mt Washington. At Loon Mountain Ski Resort, he was known to many as the "Igloo Man".
Jim's friends remember him as a man who never had a bad intention and possessed the ability to get the most out of everyone in every situation. He inspired others with an unwavering capacity to be in the moment, leaving everything else behind. He got many to get themselves outdoors and enjoy the adventure as it unfolds. "Go slow and keep smiling" was his motto.
He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his son Nate, brother, sister, niece, nephews, and so many friends.
In memory of Jim, donations may be made to the Appalachian Mountain Club, 10 City Square, Boston, MA 02129.
