James "Jim" R. Kent, Jr., 75, died Friday, January 9, 2026, at home in Hillsboro, NH. He was born on August 15, 1950 in Norwood, MA, the son of the late James and Marion Kent. James was preceded in death by wife Jacqueline in 2011.

A Hillsboro resident since 1986, Jim enjoyed hosting friends and family at home. He and Jacqueline were married there in 2004, one among many memorable celebrations his home anchored over the years. Jim was happiest planning or taking one of his countless treks into the great outdoors. Whether alone or enjoying the company of loved ones, a hike or camping trip was always a great way to spend some time.

James is survived by his companion of 7 years Cindy Vick; children, Benjamin Kent, Emily Hollins, and Jacob Kent; grandchildren, Vanessa Hollins, Josephine Hollins, Lincoln Kent, Jasper Kent, and Robin Kent and siblings Patricia Hill, Priscilla Kent, and Francis Kent;
