James R. Lind passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2023 at the age of 61. He was born in Marlborough, MA on September 22, 1961, the son of Robert and Sonja Lind. After graduating from Londonderry High School, Jim honorably served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Milwaukee from 1983 through 1987. He was recognized for his honorable foreign service during time of war and he was also awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Navy Good Conduct Medal. After four years of active duty, he served in the Naval Reserve.
Until his death, Jim was a loyal and devoted employee of TruGreen Chemlawn for over 20 years. His integrity and work ethic were exemplary. Jim was a gentle soul, who persevered without complaint and had a heart filled with gratitude. He brought joy, love, and kindness to everyone he knew. Jim was concerned about everyone’s well being. He was a great listener and would offer kind encouragement. He always remembered family members’ birthdays and special events, sending each of us thoughtful notes and calling us, making our day with his upbeat, happy conversation.
He was also a talented artist who brought beauty to our lives with his art. Jim loved creating floral arrangements and enjoyed sharing his beautiful floral designs with his siblings. Another pastime of Jim’s was dancing! He loved to dance and often would play his favorite music and dance the night away. He knew the words to every song! Jim and his husband loved to travel, including long RV treks and spending time at the beach with their beautiful dog Tasha. He also loved spending time with his parents, siblings, and extended family.
Jim leaves behind his husband of 24 years, Jim Allen Brisebois, mother Sonja Lind, sisters Karen Benson, Donna Sloan, Rhonda List, and Tiffany Lind, brother Glen Lind, sister-in-law Debra Bradford, as well as brother-in-laws, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
