James Mark Manningham (61) son of the late John and Patricia (Files) Manningham passed away peacefully on Friday October 4, 2024, with family by his side.
Born in Boston on May 8, 1963, the family relocated to Ridgefield in 1968 where Jim attended Ridgefield Public Schools. In his youth Jim was involved in many sports, was an active member of St Mary’s Church as a one of the Little Singers of Ridgefield traveling to London and to Rome to sing for the Pope. Additionally, Jim loved scouting and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating from Ridgefield High School in 1981 he attended the University of Connecticut before transferring to the Berklee College of Music to pursue songwriting and his true love as an accomplished pianist. Jim spent his life as a professional pianist who also enjoyed performing for and teaching others who shared his love of the piano.
"Jimbo" always had a smile and a kind word and made friends effortlessly. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. He leaves behind his sisters, Susan Kipphut (Richard) of Thornton, NH, Barbara Davin (George) of Naples, FL, Laura Melman-Manningham (David) of Waterbury, CT. His brothers John Manningham (Anna) of Thornton, NH, and Matthew Manningham of Santa Fe, NM. He also leaves behind many cousins and nieces and nephews, Alexandra, Natalya, Johnny, Nikki, Jordan, Sydney, and Tessa and grandnephews, Vincent, Jack, and Ben.
A private family Funeral Mass will be held in Plymouth, NH. A Memorial Celebration of Jim’s life and internment will be held in the White Mountains of New Hampshire the summer of 2025. Donations in remembrance of Jim may be made to High Pointe House Hospice, 360 North Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830.
