James Marston

James Thomas Marston, Jr., age 65, passed away peacefully, on June 21, 2023 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, with his loving wife and daughter by his side.

Born July 26, 1957 in Lynn Massachusetts, son of James T. Marston, Sr. and Brenda (Lewis) Greenia.  He moved to Gonic, NH at a young age, where he attended Spaulding High School.

He resided in Gonic for many years, building a house with his family and later moving to Barrington, NH where he resided for the last 22 years.

Jim loved his family and friends and would do anything to help.  He was a kind, loving, wonderful, funny man.  He always had a smile and a joke to tell.  He was the life of the party and even when his grandchildren were small would call Grampy "the party".  He loved to grill and no matter what time of year if it could go on the grill he was at the grill.  He took great pride in his lawn/yard.  Always making sure the grass was perfect and helping with the gardens, vegetables and flowers.  Even though he would complain about his lawn being taken away by the flower beds.

Survived by his loving wife of almost 44 years, Patricia (Barnes) Marston; and children, Stephanie Bowick and Amanda Scott; brother, Robert & wife Diane Marston; sister Laurie Stoeckmann; and his wonderful grandchildren, Lydia, Zilla and Max.

Predeceased by his father and niece, Amy Cook.

Jim lived by his own rules, always happy and doing things on his own time - Jim's World.  Jim's World Forever ∞

A Celebration of Life will be held July 9, 2023 from 12 noon - 4pm at the VFW, 43 High St, Somersworth, NH in the function hall upstairs.  Family and Friends are welcome.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Hampton.
