James F. Scurrah Jr. (Nampa) 80 of Nashua NH, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on October 6, 2016. He was born to the late Muriel (Sands) and James Scurrah Sr.
Jim grew up in Jamaica Plain, Ma. He attended local schools and Jamaica Plain High School. He also served in the United States Air Force. Jim worked at Canada dry and retired from Hampshire Chemical in Nashua. He later worked at Hannaford after retirement.
He was married to his beloved Essie (Ryan) for 58 years. He loved being with his children and grandchildren. We were his life, and he was ours. He will be missed dearly.
Jim was survived by his wife Essie, son James R. of Hollis, daughter Muriel G. Lewis and son-in-law Doug of Nashua. He was also survived by his grandchildren Jamie and Mike Curran of Hollis, Katie Scurrah of Hudson, Brandon Lewis of Lincoln, Tyler Lewis and his girlfriend Lauren Griffen of Reading, Ma. He leaves behind two very special little great granddaughters Rylan and Delaney Curran, the loves of his life.
Jim leaves his sisters Ruth Cramer of Burlington, VT, Betty Connor of Roslindale, MA, Muriel and Joe Martin of Hudson, NH, Nancy Flannery of Marshfield, Ma, and sister-in-law Barbara Stevens of Kingston, Ma.
Jim was predeceased by three sisters Ginnie Dolan, Barbara Tumber, and Patsy Peters. As well as his eight brother in laws and one sister in law, whom are all sadly missed.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jimmy fund.
There will be a celebration of "Dad's life" at the home of his Daughter Muriel, on October 22, 2016 from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
