Jane Ellen Scattergood

Jane E. Scattergood of Meredith, NH, passed away on February 14, 2026, with her loving family present at the age of 67. Jane was born on August 26, 1958, to Doris Plummer (Michaud) and Charles Plummer in Tamworth, NH.

Jane worked at Meredith Village Savings Bank for over 31 years before retiring in 2023. She enjoyed vacationing on the islands, camping in Maine, golfing, reading, gardening, crafting, and decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas events with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Scattergood and her parents. She is survived by her siblings, Betty (Leo) Aubertin of Pittsfield, NH; Richie Plummer of Hopkinton, NH; Sandra Deno of Concord, NH; Kathy (James) Soucy of Dunbarton, NH; Laurie (Patrick) Balch of Sunapee, NH; eight nieces, five nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Jane’s love for family, her creativity, and her joyful spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Jane will be laid to rest at the Raymond C. Wixson Memorial Garden (behind the Gilford Community Church) in Gilford, NH in a private ceremony.
