Jane P. Wagner

Jane P. Wagner, 81, died at Watson Fields Assisted Living in Dover NH on 07/07/2025 surrounded by people who loved her. She was the eldest child of Frederic and Lucille Wagner and was born in Rochester New Hampshire.

The family moved to Western Massachusetts in Jane’s sophomore year of high school, and she lived in that area for the rest of her life, most recently in Ludlow, Massachusetts. She was a wonderful daughter, a great big sister, and a good friend. Most importantly, she was a proud and caring mother and grandmother. Prior to her retirement, she also had a management career in the hospitality industry followed by a very successful, long career as a realtor. Her smile and personality drew people to her in her work, but also personally. She made many friends along the way.

In retirement, Jane and her husband Charlie enjoyed spending time at their places in York, Maine during the summers and Punta Gorda, Florida in the winters. Her birth state of New Hampshire also held a very special place in her heart, and she was happy to return there towards the end of her life. Wherever they were, she and Charlie spent time doing a wide variety of things from antiquing to going to NASCAR races to following grandchildren’s, games of various sports, and everything in between. She often said that she’d had a very good life and knew what a blessing that was.

Jane was pre-deceased by her husband of 35 years, Charles Thomas who died in 2024, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Beth Zajchowski; her son Marc Zajchowski and his wife Elizabeth; her granddaughters Racheal Zajchowski-Johnson and Hannah Zajchowski; step-grandsons Austin and Aidan Smith; her brother Stephen Wagner and wife Carol; her sister Nancy Kutt and husband Joe; sister Martha Wagner; Charlie’s four children, six grandchildren; niece, nephews, grandnieces, and cousins.

There will be no calling hours. A grave side service will be held at the South Barnstead Cemetery in New Hampshire at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donation be made to the Watson Fields Employee Fund, in the name of Jane Wagner.  All donations may be made payable to 201 Watson Road, Dover, NH 03820.
