Four of the things Janet loved most in her life were her God Jehovah, her family, her friends and traveling. She was a world traveler and got to see many sites with her husband Stan. They started traveling as soon as they got married. They have traveled most of Europe together and have been to every state except Hawaii. But of all the places they visited, Bar Harbor Maine, and the State of Alaska were her favorites. It was one of her goals to get back to Alaska someday. As a hard-working business woman, she also got to travel to Singapore, Russia and several other countries during the many years working for GenRad, Inc. She made some great friends over the years, and till this day they are still part of her extended family.
One of the things that was most important to her was her relationship with her God Jehovah. She was unwavering in her faith and was devoted to telling everyone she met about Jehovah and his wonderful promises for the future. Even in her hospital bed she continued to talk about her God to everyone that came to visit her. She kept her dedication to Jehovah close to her heart until her end. She will be remembered for her fine example of faithfulness.
Janet was also devoted to her family and took great joy in spending time with them. She loved visiting, cooking for them, or just playing cards. She loved telling stories to them (sometimes repeatedly). These many family memories brought her great comfort and peace and talking about them made her happy despite the trials she was enduring. She treasured the hope of being united with friends and family again in the resurrection to life right here on earth. (John 5:28, 29)
Janet died during her short stay at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH. In her final days, she was inundated with calls, cards and visits from so many. Janet will be missed dearly by all her friends and family. However, Janet was confident that she would see them all again in the earthly paradise promised by Jehovah God. So please, if you knew Janet, think of her often, knowing that she loved each and every one of you. She would tell you to draw close to God and keep enduring to the end, just as she did. Then you will have the chance to see her again, and maybe even get her to cook for you…
