Pat Black (Jay Patrick Black), age 73, of Concord, NH, died on August 20, 2026, surrounded by family, including his wife, Wendy, daughter Carissa, and son Collin. He will be remembered most for his sharp wit, love of music, pride in his family, and conviction that duct tape could fix anything. His three rambunctious granddaughters - Cameron, daughter of Carissa and Eric Colegrove, and Vivian and Eleanor, daughters of Collin and Rachel Black - loved his warm energy and funny faces.
Pat was born in Portland, Maine, to Warner Black and Mary-Jane (Little) Black. He grew up in East Aurora, NY (go Bills!) with his brothers Mike and Tim, and lived in and around Concord for most of his adult life. He especially enjoyed “Pickin’” - playing bluegrass with his friends - making food for his family, doing crosswords, and sharing a good laugh with a beer in hand. He loved his family expansively, welcoming Eric and Rachel as his own and making room for many others along the way.
SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held for family and friends in Concord at Tandy’s Pub and Grille on Saturday, Sept 12, from 2-5pm.
