Jean Alice Crowley

Jean Alice (Gilbody) Crowley, 71, of Lebanon, died July 17, 2005 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Mrs. Crowley was born on November 1, 1934, the only child of the late John and Johanna (Hugel) Gilbody. She grew up in Hanover and graduated from the Hanover High School in 1953. She attended the Thompson School of Nursing in Brattleboro, VT in 1954 and 1955 and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover for 23 years before she was forced to retire due to heart conditions. Mrs. Crowley is survived by, her husband of 43 years, David J. Crowley of Lebanon, NH. They were married in Claremont, NH. She was predeceased by her parents and her son, Kevin, who died of SIDS in the 1960’s. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
