Jean Louis Fortin, 70, of Londonderry died at his home on December 25, 2002 following a lengthy illness. Mr. Fortin was born on June 9, 1932 in Notre Dame Du Lac, Canada; son of the late Philippe and Emilie (St. Pierre) Fortin. He retired from Merrimac Paper in Lawrence, MA after 27 years where he was a mechanic. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and was a parishioner of St. Jude Church. He loved music and was well known for his singing and guitar playing. Family members include; his wife of 47 years, Raymonde (Pelletier) Fortin; one son, Jean Guy Fortin and one daughter, Lynda M. Fortin, both of Salem, NH; one grandson, Anthony Fortin also of Salem; one brother, Ronald Fortin of St. Quintin, NB; one sister, Isabelle Fortin of Cabano, Canada; and many nieces and nephews in Canada. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 30th at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church on Mammoth Road in Londonderry.
