Jean L. Moody

Jean L. Moody, 98 of Warren, NH died on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the house she and her husband had built in 1976 in Warren, NH, with her daughter by her side.

Jean was born on August 21, 1925, in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Keubler) Lumsden. When she was in grammar school, her mother and two sisters moved to Wentworth, NH.

Members of her family include her daughter, Katherine Moody of Campton, NH; her son Michael, daughter-in-law Cyndy and grandson Nathan, all of Albuquerque, NM, as well as nieces Sue, Sharon, Ellie, and Laine and nephew Jack.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lyle Moody who passed away on December 7, 2020. She is also predeceased by her two sisters, Peggy and Eileen.

Jean had a wide variety of jobs and volunteer activities during her life. She was a personal assistant to the CEO of Lake Tarleton Golf Club for several years, worked at the Morse Museum in Warren for several summers, cooked with Margaret Whitcher for the Warren School Lunch Program, and was later employed by Clifford-Nicol Printer.

She enjoyed crafting, dancing and trips to the miniature figurine shows in Boston. She worked for several years delivering Meals on Wheels.

SERVICES: There will be a combined graveside service for Lyle and Jean in the spring, a time of year they both loved, followed by a celebration of life.
