Jeanette A. Culver of Lebanon passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021 at Mt. Ascutney hospital due to complications from Covid-19.


She was born on September 27, 1929 at her family’s farm house in East Calais, VT to Robert and Alice Converse. Jeanette inherited her father’s kind, humble and quiet personality. She graduated from Montpelier High School in Montpelier, VT in 1948 and quickly began her career in secretarial office work. She married James Culver on December 20, 1950 in East Calais, VT.


Jeanette cherished time spent with her family and Saturday night dancing with her husband. For several years, she was a stay at home Mom. Her priority was taking care of her children and household chores. Jeanette was a wonderful cook. Holiday gatherings including her wonderful meals were very important to her all throughout her life. Later in her life, she was employed by Harrison Insurance Agency where she was a key employee for over forty years. She developed many acquaintances and the trust of her customers.


Family members include her children, James (Linda) Culver of Litchfield NH, Richard (Kandace) Culver of West Lebanon NH and Jane (Benjamin) Beede of Bellevue NE. She was a beloved Grandma to six grandchildren and Great Grandma to six great grandchildren. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her sister.


A private burial in the West Lebanon cemetery will be held at the discretion of the family.

The family extends their deep appreciation to Harvest Hill, Cedar Hill and Mt. Ascutney Hospital for the loving care given to Mom over the recent years.
