Our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jeanne Collins, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, surrounded by the people who loved her most, after a long and courageous journey with Parkinson’s disease.

Jeanne met that journey the same way she lived her life—with strength, grace, and an unwavering spirit. She faced each day with determination, but more importantly, with heart. She gave love freely, deeply, and without hesitation.

Born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire, Jeanne built a life centered around caring for others. Whether through her work as a cosmetologist, business owner, and educator, or in the quiet, everyday moments, she had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and special.

She found joy in life’s simple and beautiful things—gardening, the ocean, animals, and especially music. Music was always a part of her world, a reflection of her soul, her energy, and her love of life.

Above all, Jeanne was devoted to her family. She was a proud and loving mother to Tracey and Kate, and a deeply cherished grandmother to Lauren and Grace, who were the light of her life. She encouraged them to dream big, love deeply, and live fully—just as she did. She brought people together, opened her heart without limits, and reminded all of us what truly matters.

She is survived by her daughters, Tracey Doll Simmons and Kate Collins; her son-in-law, Mark Simmons; her beloved granddaughters, Lauren and Grace Simmons; her brother, Lionel Favreau and his wife Sherri; her sisters, Priscilla Adams and her husband Charles, and Rita Berg and her husband Bruce; her former husband and lifelong friend, William “Bill” Collins; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Jeanne had a smile that could light up any room and a presence that made everyone feel at home. Her strength, her warmth, and her love leave a lasting imprint on all of us.

Her message was simple, and she lived it every day:

Peace & Love.

We will carry her spirit with us—in the music we hear, the ocean air we feel, and the love we share with one another.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.

A private celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held in the summer of 2026.
