Jeanne Koester-McArdle, 80, of Enfield, New Hampshire, died with both daughters by her side, early Saturday, November 6, 2004, at her daughter’s home in Enfield. She was born May 8, 1924 in Bayside, New York, daughter of Louis and Mildred (Leek) Bousquet. She resided on Long Island, New York until 1968 when she moved to New Hampshire where she lived for the past 36 years. She is survived by her husband, Gerald, of Genesis Eldercare, Lebanon NH; her daughters, Jan Zimmer, Enfield, NH and Judith Koester, Claremont, NH; three granddaughters and one grandson; Therese Farid and her husband Hani of Chatham, NJ; Judy Driscoll and her husband Doug of Laconia NH; Jennifer Shatney and her husband Rob of Cornish NH; and Aerik Babral of Oneonta, New York; seven great-grandchildren, Jeannine and Doug Jr. Driscoll, Stephanie, Bob and Ben Shatney, and Hana and Tamer Farid . She worked most of her career as an Executive Secretary; Campions of Hanover, NH, Time Share Corporation, Hanover NH and Sunshine Biscuit Company, New York. Jeanne was Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors for the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, President for two years of the Business and Professional Women’s Club in White River Junction, VT, member of the Cascadnac Grange of Hartford, VT, member of Alice Peck Day Auxiliary, as well as a 17 year Volunteer in the gift shop and reception desk, volunteer at Dartmouth Medical Center, both as wheel chair transportation and receptionist at the rotunda for over 18 years, member of the Lebanon Arts and Crafts, and member and volunteer LaSalette Ladies Guild and a member of Sacred Heart Parish as well as Eucharistic Minister. Known to only a few, Jeanne was a generous financial supporter of many religious and charitable organizations. She loved life, people, flowers, birds, crafts and painting, gardening, the ocean and lakes and cruising. She adored all the family dogs and leaves her beloved poodles, Peaches and Angel. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a friend to all who knew her. This remarkable and amazing woman will be missed by all. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Lebanon, NH on Saturday, November 13th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Infectious Disease toward research, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756, and St. Jude Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015, (her favorite charity) or the charity of your choice.
