Jeannie Gillis, 55, of New York City and Rochester, NH., died January 2, 2002 from injuries sustained in a fall. Jeannie was born on April 20, 1946 in Worcester, MA., the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Niedzwiecki) Koski. Jeannie operated a successful pet care business in New York City and enjoyed helping all of God's creatures. She also had many friends and enjoyed their company and helping them as well. She is survived by a sister, Alice Perkins of Rochester, NH.,. a brother Robert Koski of Marlborough, MA., a stepson, William Gillis of Dover, her nephew, Todd Perkins of Rochester, NH., as well as five other nieces and aunts and uncles from Worcester, MA. She was predeceased by a sister, Carol Maynard in 1998. She recently became a great aunt (again) to Sierra Maureen Perkins. There will be no services at this time. The family will hold a private celebration of her life later in the Spring. Donations may be made in her name to one's favorite charity or to any charity helping animals. She will be greatly missed.
