Jeffery H. Ames

Jeffery Harold Ames, 59, died on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at home in Chichester. He was born on June 10, 1963, in Dover, NH the son of Harold “Skip” and Joan (Babineau) Ames.

Jeff attended Concord High School, where he left at 17. He welcomed his daughter, Christian, in 1991.

He was employed at Labries, Harding Metals, and other mechanic shops until he began work with Stonefence from 1996 to 2012 as “The best back filler in the land”. During his time working for Stonefence he also enjoyed helping at The Shady Tree Garage, tinkering on vehicles underneath the trees or at Doug Briggs Shop.

Jeff’s favorite past time was sitting on the sun porch at Gram Bells house, watching any car program that involved building up a loud engine. If you couldn’t find him there, check the back yard where he would be enjoying a nice campfire with his friends and daughter, listening to music late into the evening. If Jeff wasn’t helping his friends work on their vehicles, he was building model cars and rockets, out camping, or just relaxing watching a good movie.

He is predeceased by his father Harold “Skip” Ames, & is survived by his mother Joan, his brother Tim, his daughter Christian, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as all his friends that loved and cared for him.  

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10am to 12Noon, at the Cremation Society of NH, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH. All friends and family are invited to attend. There will be a celebration of life that will be held at a later date towards the end of July. 

Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to Bayada Home Health Care Specialty Practice. The one thing that would make Jeff happiest is having your engine roar loud, “Don’t be shy, yard right on it mista”
