Jeffrey A. Carlaw Jeffrey A. Carlaw, 56, died at his home on June 8, 2008. Mr. Carlaw was born on October 9, 1951 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his father, George Carlaw; brother, Bruce Carlaw and stepfather, Patrick Bociek. Mr. Carlaw is survived by his mother, Irene Bociek of Acushnet, MA and his son, Ryan and his wife, Mira of Manchester. Mr. Carlaw graduated from New Bedford High and South Eastern Massachusetts University. In the early 1970s, he moved to Manchester, NH and worked for Waumbec Mills, and as a part time auto mechanic at Yankee Service Center. In 1984, Mr. Carlaw took over operations of Yankee Service Center and fulfilled his dream to own and operate a full service automotive repair shop. He was well known in Manchester as one of the best mechanics, and would do anything to help someone with car troubles. His passion in life was fixing and restoring cars, and his family. Cremation Society of New Hampshire handled the arrangements. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held later at the families' request.
