Concord -- Jeffrey M Kerouac, 60, of 51 Storrs St, passed away in his sleep on January 10, 2013, after a lengthy battle with diabetes and heart disease.
Jeffrey was born in Nashua on September 29, 1952, to Edward and Betty (Griffin) Kerouac. He was a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School, class of 1970. He was a lifelong resident of New Hampshire.
He was a well established entertainer. In addition to owning and operating his own event DJing service, he worked for radio stations WOTW and WSMN of Nashua. During his career as a DJ, he was among the first in the region to offer karaoke, back when the trend was new.
Jeffrey was a diehard fan of all Boston sports teams. He was also a movie and video game buff, a model train fanatic, a masterful piano and organ player, an avid singer, a talented chef, and a snowmobile enthusiast.
He loved and cared for many pets over the span of his life. In recent years, his beloved dog Abbey was his constant companion.
He was predeceased by his sister, Dorilda Roy Kerouac, as well as his parents Edward and Betty Kerouac.
He is survived by his two children, Kristen Kerouac of Massachusetts, and Jerod Kerouac of New Hampshire, both of whom became entertainers just like their dad. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Additionally, he is survived by his godmother, Dolores "Dolly" Carter of Florida, formerly of Hudson, New Hampshire.
There will be no calling hours. A service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, at 3PM at Faith Community Bible Church of Loudon, NH, where Jeffrey was an active members. Following the service, refreshments will be served at the church, and all are invited.
The burial will be in Westview Cemetery of Hudson, NH, at a date convenient for his family.
