Jennie E. Downes, 86, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by family on June 13, 2021.
Jennie was born in Vermont and lived most of her life in New Hampshire except for a short time in California and Arizona.
Jennie was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend to many. Jennie enjoyed family gatherings and most of all, spending time with her children, this of all things was most dear to her.
Jeannie enjoyed the hobby of creating puzzles, there was always a puzzle on the table being worked on.
Jennie was pre-deceased by her husband Eldon Downes, three sons, Peter Fleury, William Fleury, Richard Downes and two daughters; Sandy Drury and Sally Fleury.
Jeannie leaves behind her sister Jean Drury, daughter Sheila Houle, and her sons Eldon Downes and David Downes along with a son in law Allan Houle, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private ceremony will be held with family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be considered to the Newfound Area Nursing Association.
