Jeremy A. Keiran, 39, of Sommerville, MA, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2019, from injuries sustained in a skiing accident at Cannon Mountain in Franconia, NH. He was born in Newton, MA on September 1, 1979 to Douglas Carlberg and Cathy Keiran. He was the pride and joy of his grandparents, Madolyn (Hawes) and Dick Keiran.
Jeremy loved working in restaurants. His latest job was a server at Strega Waterfront in Boston, where he had the opportunity to wait on celebrities and professional athletes.
He enjoyed traveling, with trips across the United States, as well as international trips to Guatemala, Ireland, and Jamaica. Jeremy always had fond memories of sailing with his uncle Steve and spending time on his family farm in Maine. He had a love of life and was always up for an adventure, including backpacking the Kalalau Trail in Kauai and spontaneous trips to visit friends near and far. He also loved going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and cooking. He was also die-hard New England Sports fan.
He leaves behind his mother, Cathy Keiran of Farmingdale, ME; father, Douglas Carlberg of Texas; uncles Steve Keiran and his wife Margaret of Portsmouth, RI, and Ken Keiran and his wife Debby of Union, ME; cousins Jacob Keiran and girlfriend Anna of Union, ME, Kristen Keiran of Tampa, FL, and Isaac Keiran and his fiancée Halsey Yattaw of Fort Kent, ME; close friend and former girlfriend Michele Tolson of Sturbridge, MA, and their beloved dog Logan.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday March 17th at The Congregational Church at 1154 Great Plain Ave in Needham, MA at 1:00 PM. A gathering of family and friends will take place after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization where Jeremy volunteered, by mailing a check made out to the "St. Anthony Shrine" at Development Office, St. Anthony Shrine, 100 Arch St. Boston, MA 02110, with a note to direct the gift to the Franciscan Food Center.
