Jerome Noha, known to his friends and family as “Jerry”, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 73 at his home in Winchester, NH this September.
Born in Grand Rapids, MI, he was one of three children of the late Joseph Noha and Eleanor (King) (Noha) Mesler. He is survived by his daughter Jessica C. Noha.
Jerry grew up in Bradenton, FL, surfing, training the Morgan horses for the local Sheriff’s Department, and quickly became a motorcycle and muscle car enthusiast. He dropped out of high school in order to take care of his father, so that his mother could train and work as a nurse. After his father passed away from cancer, he fast-tracked his studies and graduated with his original class. He was drafted into the Army for Vietnam, where he became one of their top sharpshooters, but was honorably discharged before being sent to war. He became a master carpenter, participating in much of the early building and development in Florida, eventually running his own company, Arc Construction, for a time, and was always accompanied by his white German Shepherd, Ace. In the early 80s, he moved to the North Shore of MA where he continued with construction and spent several decades as a dehumidification technician, mechanic, and all-around handyman until retiring.
Ever the outdoorsman, Jerry spent the summers camping and boating with his daughter, Jessica, becoming a regular vacationer at Ossipee Lake in NH. He later moved to Winchester, NH to take care of his mother for many years until she passed away at home in 2019. He continued to take exceptional care of the property, often hosting his daughter and her German Shepherd, Leah, recently celebrating her 16th birthday together.
Our hearts are broken with his sudden passing, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
If you wish to send condolences to the family, please mail them to the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, c/o Jerome Noha, 57 High Street, Brattleboro, VT.
In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation may be made in Jerry's memory to Cape Ann Animal Aid of Gloucester, MA.
