Nashua - Jerry Blackwell Stratton Sr., 61, died Friday, May 30, at Merrimack Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Frances Victoria (Spedaliere) Stratton, with whom he celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on April 27th. Born in Lincoln, ME, on September 9th, 1941, son of the late Wilbur Richard Stratton and Thelma (Blackwell) Stratton, he was a veteran of the US Navy. He worked as a used car manager at Peters Auto in Nashua, Dobles Chevrolet in Manchester, Grappone's Dealership in Concord, Gary Blake Saab in Exeter and finally retired from Merrimack Suzuki before leaving due to his illness. In his spare time Mr. Stratton enjoyed gardening, harness racing and fishing. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Jerry Blackwell Stratton Jr., of Campton, NH, Edward Joseph Stratton, of Palmer, Alaska, Richard Anthony Stratton and Vincent Francis Stratton both of Hudson, NH.; one brother Ronald Stratton, of Haverhill, MA; and one sister Edith Ann (Stratton) Lydick, of Falmouth, ME; six grandchildren; nieces, and nephews. There will be a Memorial Reception on Thursday, June 5th from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Richards Catering, 222 Central Street (Route 111) in Hudson. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 AM at St. Louis de Gonzague, 48 West Hollis Street in Nashua with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley Street in Nashua.
