Jessee L. Gray, 78, of Nashua died January 10, 2003 at Harborside Health Care in Milford after a period of declining health. Prior to this, she had resided at 4 Wilson Street in Nashua for almost 40 years. Mrs. Gray was born on February 15, 1924 in Nashua the daughter of the late Bertelle and Helen (Marshall) Ford. She retired from Nashua Corp. where she worked as a factory worker for 25 years. She was widowed at the age of 34, and with pride and hard work she raised her four children alone. She was admired and loved dearly by her family. She was an animal lover, particularly fond of cats. She and her young children enjoyed vacationing at Hampton Beach, and in later years, she and her companion spent many weekends at York Beach, ME and visited Hawaii on several occasions. Family members include; one son, Harold Gary and his wife, Deborah of Nashua; three daughters, Donna Gray Duffy of Simsbury, CT, Wendy Luba and her husband Michael of Mont Vernon, and Eppy Gray of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Sandra Donovan, Chuck Gray, Brian Duffy, Michael Luba Jr., Corey Luba, Keeley Novotny and Keith Robillard; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Elwyn Ford and his wife, Audrey of Nashua; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gray was predeceased by her husband, Harold Gray Sr. who died in 1958, an infant daughter, Jessee, a sister, Barbara Kimball, and her companion of 27 years, William "Everett" Rice, who died in February 2002. A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, January 18th from 4:00 until 5:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Burial will take place at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of New England, 24 Ferry Rd., Nashua, NH.
