Joan Diers

Joan Alice (Freese) Diers, passed away March 22,2025, at home following a valiant fight with a lengthy illness. She was born October 26, 1952, in Manchester, NH, where she lived most of her life before moving to Deering, NH. She was the daughter of Frank and Alice Freese. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stephen Diers, their three children, Aaron Diers and his wife Chrissy of Manchester, Achsa Klug and her husband Mike of Hooksett, Abigail Gosselin and Rick of Hillsborough: seven grandchildren, Emily Gardner, Megan Diers, Madelyn Diers, Elliot Gosselin, Leighton Klug, Owen Gosselin and Everett Gosselin: and her sister, Judy Ludgate and her husband John. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Freese.

Joan was a caregiver at heart, she provided unconditional care for her children, grandchildren and extended family. Through her employment, she cared for her students as a paraprofessional in the Manchester school district, and members of the community as the director of Meals on Wheels. Her passion was caring for dogs of all kinds, having several litters of puppies that brought joy to other households and showing her Bernese Mountain dogs, taking her beloved Ch. Bromley to Westminster and building deep friendships in that community.

She will be deeply missed by her family, her dogs and all that knew her strong spirit and determination to make this a better place for all creatures, human and animal alike.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 12, 2025, at Deering Town Hall, 762 Deering Center Road, Deering NH, between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
